SPINAL CORD INJURIES

SPINAL CORD INJURIES

Regain voluntary movements and body functions

Currently, there are millions of people throughout the world with Spinal Cord Injury, estimated to be between 250,000 and 500,000 people who are diagnosed worldwide each year.  Spinal Cord Injury usually means that a patient will be wheelchair bound for their entire lives, today, new, innovative, treatments are available, creating new hope for patients everywhere.

We want to show you where, today, you can benefit from those innovations and we will bring you there if you wish so.

To give up is not part of our vocabulary

We strongly believe that much of the lost functions and quality of life can be recovered with innovative treatments like Epidural Stimulation and Stem Cell therapies.

How does it work

1.Epidural Stimulation

The Epidural Stimulation treatment is done through a device which includes a neurostimulator. This device will be surgically implanted below the injury area in the spinal cord.  The compromised nerve signals coming from the brain will be amplified and redirected to the Spinal Cord tissue below the injury level. This will give you the possibility of regaining voluntary movements and restoring lost functions.

Epidural Stimulation can be offered to patients with both complete and incomplete injuries and can help them see significant improvements.

How does it work

2.Stem Cell therapies for Spinal Cord Injury

This is a new procedure whereas stem cells are injected directly into the area of the injury in the spinal cord and around areas of the spinal tissue. It will help Spinal Cord injury patients regain reasonable body functions – patients will become more independent in their daily routines.

What can you possibly expect?

  • Improved full body motor functions
  • Improved sensation
  • Improved ability to take assisted steps
  • Improved muscle mass and strengths
  • Improved bowel and bladder control
  • Improved sexual function
  • Reduced spasticity

Patient Testimonial

Matthew

Matthew ’s life changed dramatically when he got into a motocross accident and as a result, was left with a T5 Spinal Cord Injury.  Only two days into the treatment, Matthew was extremely excited to see his legs regaining voluntary movements. He will now continue to persevere the rehabilitation and hope to reach his full potential. Follow his story here.
